It has been a privilege and a pleasure to have known Claire Ann Baker. She was my companion and best friend for the past several years and changed my life in many ways. She is the one that strengthened my faith in the way of Jesus.
I’ve always seen myself as a very spiritual man, but she is the one that made it very clear that I need to do more than just accept the presence of God
On more than one occasion she reminded me that we should always be working toward the glory of the Lord and not just to ourselves. More than anything this attitude has shaped my well-being. For that I will always be grateful. She will be ‘forever in my heart’ and for many of you, she will be forever in your hearts.
May her faith and attitude carry forward to the future generations and may she rest in peace.

I’ve only known Claire for the past four or five years, as she was my brother Rick’s companion. I liked her the moment I met her. She was friendly, outgoing and bubbly. I remember her love for flowers (which she seemed to always bring me some) and her walk with God. I remember how comforting she was to me when I was going through hard times…sending me cards and giving me books she thought would be comforting. If only there were more people like her in this world. She had a huge heart and I will miss her terribly.

What a sweet and wonderful person Claire was!! Aways full of life and FUN. I remember my days when Bruce and Claire would visit Bloomington and how they loved to drive to the countryside and see all the green areas, the stars and sky! Claire always would say we don’t see this out East. Loved those times!! We did this on many of the special visits to Bloomington, in the convertible. My visits in New York and the city, the apt in the city, always sooo much!! Again when they visited Bloomington on other days with Goose, Fun Ronnie/Carol, always fun Pattie! Loved hanging out at the Browns. Lots of love was always abundant. Thanks for memories and sympathy to entire family! Much love to all and God’s comfort to you, my dear friends!!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Claire many years ago at NPC. She had constantly had such a beautiful smile even during some harder and sad times and would stay so positive. She always took the time to talk to people and make you feel like you were the most important person. When she moved back to the Midwest she was missed by many. We now have to come back to our Midwest roots and I know why we were connected~our faith and Midwest upbringing. My sympathy to you girls whom she adored.
